Bloodborne v2, The Hunt Begins

I was curious so I watched other Witch of Hemwick fights and I literally had the easiest possible scenario. I was just casually fighting and equally distributed my attacks between the Witches so none of her minions ever really aggro'd. They just waltzed around the area like old women.

That was epicnamebro's tip off . If you dont know to equally distribute attacks its not easy. It gets fcking hectic when the soot monsters start to attack hard.

That's weird cause I platinumed without any of those issues. The only thing remotely like that is camera trajectory in small spaces; however, camera angle issues are always a constant in this genre in enclosed spaces. I've never had a problem with locking on or unlocking in any souls game. The game does have limits to locking on which IMO are intentional. (You must be so close to lock on I mean). This is so you can't lock on and shoot stuff from ridiculous range though which makes sense in the "no freebie genre."

There are actually some pretty simple rules to locking on too that are easy to miss and give people grief when you unknowingly break them. For example it doesn't work well when you try to lock on to things that aren't pretty much in front of you. The issue with this is people are used to easy mode games that will auto spin you in the direction of anything when you push the lock on button. This is a hand holding thing that souls doesn't do. You need to physically control the camera to capture lock ons as it should be in the no kid gloves environment.
It isn't keeping me from enjoying the game. I knew what I was getting into when I bought it, but to pretend this game is just soo well polished and these are just things that only newbs may encounter is just stupid. I personally enjoy the franchise that is why I keep buying the games, still the engine is in them is outdated and clunky. It was outdated feeling when I played Demon's Souls 6 years ago. I get tired of reading people condescend to people trying to explain away that the problems they encounter as if are not actually problems, that they just can't deal with the difficulty level or say "that is how it is designed to work" . No getting stuck in walls and being hit by enemies who are glitched into the floor is not how the game was made to work, those are glitches. People who haven't played these games before are not going to be as excepting of this type of thing as people who have played the soul's game, it doesn't mean they are wrong or newbs.

I've switched from the Threaded Cane to the Reiterpallasch, haven't had a lot of time with it but i think i prefer it. The move set is pretty good.

I'm also trying to join Eileen's Covenant but i can't beat that fucker that's waiting in Grand Cathedral. I'm like level 60+ and i'm still getting 2 shotted.

I need a new playthrough..
thinking about using the kirkhammer or ludwigs blade .

I have done 2 full playthroughs with the cane and axe..
The cane was fun but it was hard to beat the early bosses using it.. The axe wrecked shit all the way through. I thought it was only poor for the micolash fight.

Yeah I didn't know that the other witches had a real health bar, I thought they were just decoys so I'd hammer away and look for the other one. Before I knew it they were all dead. I kept waiting for some big spike in difficulty but it never came.

It can be a very annoying fight ,if you just go in there and dont look up any strategy tips beforehand. You can get constantly caught by that magic spell that grabs you.

Wait for him to switch to two handed mode. He will constantly take damage. Run down the stairs and stand by the door. He will stay at the top of stairs, in two handed mode. Go make a sammich. When you get back, he will be dead.

You're clearly exaggerating the problem. If you're dying consistently in this game, I can all but guarantee it's in very, very, very small part to glitches.

Haha i'm not ashamed to say i used this exact tactic 20 mins after i posted that comment. That guy is cheap as fuck, he just constantly teleports and spams his unlimited ammo pistol. Think i got his health down to 3/4 on legit tries and thats the best i could do. Think i wasted over 100 blood vials trying it.

I have experienced all of the glitches I mentioned just in just bloodborne alone. I didn't say they contributed to deaths . You guys act as if this game is soo perfect and there are not issues with it, which is bullshit.

Lol, the game is very well polished and it's meta score even puts it as pretty close to perfect. I've never played a game that was 100% glitch free. And you seem to be the only one in here who is experiencing the amount of issues you're having. Don't know what to tell you.

Another strategy for that fight is to use the Rifle Spear and just use the charge attack in its trick mode. The guy will run right into every time.

The 2-handed R2 charge for the Rifle Spear is arguably OP. I got it up to +6 last night and I'm 1-shotting most mob enemies with it. The recovery time for it is what makes it so special because you can launch your attack outside of enemy attack trigger range, blast them for like 500+ damage, and then jump out before they can hit you.

I'm finding a really nice rhythm bouncing between 2-h rifle spear, cane, and whip. Pretty much walked right through Forbidden Woods with ease.

Forbidden Woods is a joke with the rifle spear. Agreed. The Charging R2 trivializes half the mobs in this game.

Rom is still kicking my ass. I've tried everything. Killing the minions, not killing the minions, bolt paper, tonitrus, even tried the bone ash and flamethrower "cheese" to no avail. Coops didn't help either. I think this is where my hunt ends.

Can you just not get his attack tells down?

You also need to attack him in the side. I didn't realize this until after I killed him but you do much more damage. The fight probably took me over 10 mins but I took my time killing most of the spiders, then just watched his attacks and came in swinging when I had my shots.

What lvl are you? My roommate and I just started new characters and we're nearing rom pretty soon. We can definitely beat rom.

What weapon are you using and have you upgraded it yet?
