PlayStation Bloodborne Megathread, v.4

This is the only Fromm Software game I'm actually decent at parrying. Lady Maria got styled on̈!
 
Apparently this emulator will also play PS5 games and there is nothing Sony can do about it.

From what I've been reading in these twitter threads as long as it does not copy PS4/PS5 code then everything is legal. Allegedly you can play games you own on any hardware you want and this is how emulation has survived for so long. Sounds iffy to me but that's what they're saying.

I'm not a fan of mods that alter the very integrity of a game but I have to think a boss randomiser, for example, would be a really fun one for Hunters. Imagine making it to Central Yharnam's Great Bridge and waiting for you is not Cleric Beast, but a moonlit Ludwig.

I remember seeing a streamer play a randomizer run for Bloodborne and when he came to Shadows Of Yharnam they were replaced with Gascoigne, Maria and Orphan.

Agreed about keeping the core gameplay the same. A randomizer would be great and I believe they have difficulty settings to avoid getting three crazy bosses together unless you want that kind of silliness.
 
I am SOOOO pissed.

I just started a new playthrough after a long while.

Went through the game very thoroughly. Did a bunch of chalice dungeon stuff.

13 hours later I go to Iosefka's clinic...

The Cainhurst summons didn't summon.

It's not there at all.

I un-installed and reinstalled 3 separate times to no avail. The fuck....... :(

Did you come up through the forbidden woods and unlock the shortcut to the clinic before entering through the back? I think unlocking the gate is the trigger.

Oh yeah, I did everything the normal legit way

Surprisingly, there is no actual trigger for the summons to appear. It's just always supposed to be there.

Out of spite, I quit my file l, opened another and did the iosefka clinic skip.

The one where you have the non respawning very firstwolf grab you out of bounds. run through the clinic and voila, summons is there.

Proceeded to beat the game twice to get the other endings I never got on this ps4.

I believe pulling the lever to open the shortcut is the trigger for the summons to appear.

That's why speedrunners always pull it after glitching through the gate despite the fact they never go back there again.

I've never tried it myself but now you've got me curious so maybe I'll try to replicate what you're talking about. I don't mean the werewolf skip but just not pulling the lever after coming up the long ladder from forbidden woods.
 
Fucking hell Micolash on NG+ can eat a fucking dick. Just need one more ending for Platinum

Ok I just tried and it's not the lever. I killed Gascoigne, BSB and Amelia, then went through Forbidden Woods and up the ladder but did not open the shortcut and the summons was still there.

I've never had the summons not show up. That's so weird.

edit - Long shot but did you touch the skull on the altar after Amelia? That changes the world to night.

You have to touch laurences skull to get to the forbidden woods, no? It's how you learn the password to fear the old blood.

The save where this happened I did zero skips and just played absolutely normal

deleted and reinstalled 3 times to no avail,That has apparently helped other people.

My frenzy meter is maxed.
