International Trailer for BLOOD FATHER Starring Mel Gibson

Blood-Father-Mel-Gibson-040416-Dragonlord.jpg

On Sunday, Icon Australia released the official trailer for Blood Father, an action thriller directed by French filmmaker Jean-François Richet (Mesrine), starring Mel Gibson and Erin Moriarty. The trailer follows Link (Gibson), a troubled tattoo artist and former convict who has all but given up searching for his missing daughter (Moriarty). When the troubled pair are reunited, all hell breaks loose.

Blood Father appears to be the intersection of Taken and No Country for Old Men, as Gibson channels his inner Liam Neeson to protect his daughter from criminals in the Southwest.

The novel was written and adapted for the big screen by Peter Craig, who also wrote The Town. Also on board are co-stars Diego Luna (Elysium), William H. Macy (Shameless), Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) and Elisabeth Rohm (Joy). Blood Father opens in Australia on August 25.

I want to see Gibson making and directing movies more. Braveheart and Apocalypto and even the Passion were all very well done.

He should make a western.

Fuckin' love Mel Gibson movies.

Well except that puppet one.

always down for Gibson...especially when he has a gun

Looks good, but this is the director that butchered the remake of Assault on Precinct 13.

Always enjoyed Mel Gibson movies, and this looks like it will be pretty entertaining, so I'll definitely check it out when it's released.

How I spent my summer vacation was surprisingly good, I've got plenty of time for Gibson, even if he is a bit of a... well, you know.

Gibson was slated to have a role in Hangover 2, but the rest of the cast refused to act with him. Great moral fiber there, guys:

He's always done great in gritty roles. Payback was a good one, as was Ransom. I'll see it, just not in theaters.

Nothing beats the Gibson tapes his ex wife recorded few years back.

"WHAT!WHAT!! GET ON YOUR KNEES AND BLOWWWWW MEEEE!!!!"

His best work to date
