Blaydes gets the belt shot, he beat a #9, #5, and #2 at heavy, no one has beat more than 2 in the division. He gets the winner of DC and Stipe
 
He’s great but um, every prospect beats Reem these days
 
The guy is big time.
After the Hunt fight i texted my buddy and told him how legit this HW is (i never do that)
Werent people talking about how good Reem TDD was, Blaydes moped the floor with him.
 
he just fought on the prelims.... i say blades vs volkov for the next title shot
 
Blaydes is for real. He is a real threat, and could be a huge force at HW if He can sharpen up some striking skills. I like the guy a lot. Also, He and I are both potheads.
 
He lost to Ngannou.... I guess Ngannou wasn't top 10 at the time but it's still a bit misleading to say he's 3-0 against the top 10.

He looks fucking good and should get a title shot soon.... but he doesn't really have any more of a claim to it than Volkov. And if the Black Beast beats Francis, he'll have a good claim to it as well. I think these guys are gonna have to fight each other before getting the title shot.
 
Id like to see him rematch Ngannou. It was fun the first time. Francis got a shot at the title, so lets see if Blaydes has improved enough to challenge Stipe by beating the man that previously claimed his number.

he will be champ the only question would be if he fights dc for the belt or is vs stipe for the vacant belt/
 
I think Blaydes would smash Tuivasa. I got no problems with him getting a title shot.
 
I've been calling a Blaydes title shot for almost a year and a half now, I don't know if he gets past Stipe/Cormier but he will sure as shit give either a fight.

why would UFC promote somebody with a win over Reem and gift him a title shot? oh wait, i forgot, that literally happened few months ago with some nigerian slavemaster.

i agree but if the ufc believed in him they would have put them on the main card. Im not saying he's not a top contender but he needs another win. Blades vs volkov for the next title shot
 
Ten years ago Overeem was a punching bag in Pride. Yesterday he was ranked #2 in the UFC HW division and Sherdoggers are treating it as a big win for Blaydes.

This sport is going backwards.
 
Ngannou took his soul. A lot of people say he wasn't using his wrestling and that's why he lost. No, all he did was try to take Ngannou down, he just couldn't.
