You're claiming that, despite hundreds of years of racial bias in America, somehow none of that ever penetrated Hollywood.

And the other side is claiming that, despite what a casual observer may see as a pretty fair racial environment, there are still major discriminatory practices in Hollywood.

You haven't provided any proof that racism stopped at the silver screen. They haven't provided any proof that racism still lives on in Hollywood.

So how do we evaluate this?
