First, let me just state the intent of this post is not to bitch about something but rather to warn some of the frequenters of this website about my own experience. I would also like to state that prior to this order I have used BJJHQ before with no major issues, but I have also never been overly impressed with their timeliness.

I ordered a Manto rashguard from BJJHQ on September 4, 2011. As many of you know BJJHQ advertises next day shipping so after 7 business days and no update from the company, I shot them an email. Nothing crazy, just hey whats up with this order. They stated that they were backed up because of a hurricane and needed a few more days. Seemed fair, so I waited. About 4 business days later I sent them another email asking for an update but got no response. Finally on 16 September I received an email with the tracking number.

I checked the tracking information daily but after a week, USPS still listed that they had merely received the info, not the package. I contacted BJJHQ about this but did not receive a response. I have sent 3 subsequent emails to BJJHQ and have yet to receive any kind of response. I have also confirmed with the USPS that they never received the package.

Unfortunately there is not much I can do about the situation as they are an entirely online business. As I stated at the beginning of this post, my intent is merely to warn people away from this website. To be honest, the discounts are not that great and the 5 dollar shipping (in my opinion) is not that great of a deal anyway.

TLDR: I would not advise doing business with BJJHQ.com. When things go bad with an order their customer service and communication is non-existent.

Cheers,
Tony

I think one of their reps posts on here so you may get a response shortly...

I hope so. It takes alot for me to post anything on these forums, especially something negative. I really just want the matter resolved, but I felt with no communication that was not going to happen.

Update: George from customer service sent me this email a few minutes ago:
Hi Tony,

Our office are closed on Sundays, and Monday is a little hectic with the 3 items from each HQ site being handled. The reason your tracking says "electronic info received" is because we had to change your tracking number. After the initial hurricane situation delayed the shipment, we got the package to USPS... however they returned it to us a few days later due to a labeling issue. When we relabeled it last week, the tracking number subsequently changed. The new USPS tracking number is 9400 1102 0082 9161 8831 08 and should be arriving any day now. I am sorry for the experience that you've had, but I assure you it is not how we normally operate. You happened to catch us at a terrible time, I hope you can understand that and decide to take advantage of future daily deals. If you choose to, drop me an email and I'll apply a $5 discount to the daily deal price for you.

While I appreciate them finally getting back to me, the issue still remains that there was a complete lack of communication on their part. If the shipping number changed they should have contacted me to let me know, especially since my emails on the subject were going unanswered. It was downright irresponsible to leave me in the dark on this one.

Thankfully I will be getting what I paid for, but I stand by my previous assessment on BJJHQ.com: In my opinion avoid them if you can.

Cheers

ive bought several items from them at great prices and have never had a single issue.

Monday was a bit rough. Your email from Sunday should have been responded to on Monday but took until Tuesday. I apologize for that.

The reason is that we finally moved back into our offices on Monday, Monday's are busy anyways, put them together and your email didn't get responded to until Tuesday. I apologize. I get that you were in the dark and didn't realize the order was being delivered shortly.

As George said in the email, USPS bounced your order back for some reason so we reshipped and looks like it's scheduled to be delivered shortly.

Well BJJHQ is definitely a stand-up company! The Rupture rashguard they had up about a month ago had a flaw in one of the sleeves. Nick (owner of rupture) said he was going to replace it for me, after a month I haven't heard anymore from him, even after more recent emails sent to all their addresses I haven't heard anything. BJJHQ stepped up and sent out a replacement from their new stock.

I agree...both HQ sites def. offer great customer service, post-sale.

Well, after one month I have still yet to receive my order. Budovideos.com for me from now on.

Had a issue with a rash guard I picked up from BJJHQ, After speaking with customer service they took care of the issue and made sure I was satisfied with the service, huge props to both HQ's and I'll continue to but and recommend both sites to all friends and locals as well.

I've ordered a few times from both HQs and the only problem I ever had with shipping was caused by myself and was quickly resolved after being identified by the company. My $.02

I ordered something from mmahq on the 7th and it's status is "pre-processing." Does anyone know if that's normal or should it have already shipped?
