BJJ Tattoos

012.jpg

Here is a pic of her tat!

This is Luke Summerfield's tattoo of Neutral Ground BJJ. He is a very nice, cool ass guy and have trained with him before. I think his tatt is awesome! It expresses a lot about his journey and his desire to pursuit the BB!

Hell yeah! I recognized Luke's ink before I even scrolled down to your explanation. I love the belts on his left leg.

My "vision" is a good sized JJ kanji in the middle of my shoulder blades with "Flo with the go" underneath it. On each side each of my daughters names written in Kanji..... Feedback.

Flo with the go? I don't get it. Is that a pun or a reference to something other than "go with the flow"?

My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that Rickson coined it. Basically means things dont always go as planned, just go with it.

hey spicer, didnt know you posted here. You came down to tyler and did a seminar not long ago. We are still using your and gibbersons sweeps like crazy.

That's cool to run into you on the interwebz. Hopefully I cane make it back soon. I'll be rolling througj your are in the middle of June when I move to Florida.

unfortunately I wont be there. I got layed off and I am gonna have to take a job down in houston. Good luck in florida though.

Don't mean to necro, but figure'd this'd be a good place to ask.

I'm planning on getting a tattoo when i get my black belt (yes it's a ways in the future, but i'm for sure going to get there... eventually)

Anyways. Could any of you more creative types possibly chip in ideas as to what it should be? Or animals/things that could represent BJJ?

Here was my idea. An Octopus over my right shoulder, with tentacles going a lil ways down my chest and arm (still able to be covered by a short sleeve shirt) and going back to my right shoulder blade, with the Gracie Jiu Jitus triangle (the triangle with the 3rd side caved in) on the back of my right shoulder with the tentacles going through it/grabbing at it.

Any ideas y'all?

I'll bump this one more time. Any ideas/comments/suggestions? If no one replies i'll just let it die then.

Thanks y'all!

Ive been thinking about this for a while. When I get my brown belt I want to get a Cristo Rendentor with the Gracie Barra triangle in the background where the moon would be at. It would be dark colored and the words "Arte Suave" somewhere in cursive.

trying to post mine...having trouble...you can use the 'search' if you want to find it.

Just finished my sleeve last week. I'm back, but I was off the mats for about a month (the longest I've ever taken off of BJJ).

The tree represents my growth in BJJ. I liked the idea of the cyclical nature of my journey through BJJ (learning, set backs, learning, plateauing, making gains again) and life in general, hence the cherry blossoms. I'm also an avid hiker and nature lover, so I wanted some stuff to represent that as well:

Sorry, the pics are slightly blurry. I took them with my phone.

What do you call these kind of tattoos? They're very "yakuza" looking.
