I was reading the /r/BJJ thread about this video, and people brought up a good point which is that having a high base like that leaves you pretty vulnerable to people scooting under you for either x-guard or leglocks (of course, not if you're Demian Maia…).
I think head posting does a lot to limit the bottom guy's movement, and good footwork can help you disentangle your legs from their hooks sometimes. But I'd be curious to see how leglockers like Eddie Cummings or Garry Tonon deal with that style of passing.
