BJJ in Connecticut

I heard that "Todo Dias" and King of Lockdown have been training in Norwalk for a minute now.

I forgot to mention Chris Watson and Ryan Griffith have their own schools now, but I think Chris focuses on BJJ in the gi only.

Yeah that kid Todo Dias is the technical of technicals, he truly is the next generation....

From Mario DiNatale:

I was told about this tonight and thought it was a joke
until it was shown to me! I'm Mario DiNatale and I've never
been called "machete" ever, I don't teach bjj, and there is
no gladiator team ct. I train in mass and don't even belong
on that list... Not even fit to tie a belt on anybody on that
list. The person that posted that list has no idea what they
are talking about and basically proved the internet is full
of crazy people.*My advice to the original poster would be
not to let this bullshit discourage you from trying bjj! People
that write/say things like that don't last long in this sport!
Go to*the closest school you can find and train alot and have
alot*of fun!

Ze Carlson I messaged you

I think he got scared from posting. I can speculate who he is and where he trains. He has it 'in' with his instructor, whom i know. I can also assume that his instructor told him allot of stories, some good, some bad, some dirty and some holy. I respect his instructor with all my heart and soul, he would never approve of 'zecarlson' spewing this nonsense on the net. And knowing his instructor, he already found out about this. The question is.. Will this 'zecarlson' come out from hiding? Or should someone go down there and? There are many stories of his instructor telling his senior students to do 'hits' on those whom he doesnt like or mouth off.... Like limbs broken, or extensive stays in hospitals and others... Stuff that 'zecarlson' doesnt know about... Well maybe i'm wrong.. Maybe its a she and no one can touch her... Someone who just looks out for her 'investment' to generate enough income/students for her 'business' while defaming others.

He deleted his posts because by making it personal with Calandrelli, he revealed who he is. hmmm which former member of that gym left and openly bad mouths him over an imagined issue with women and now nuthugs the mma fighters from att mentioned in the post and the springfield bjj scene members in the post on facebook. Its really a shame too because of how much calandrelli did to promote his mma career and get him local media exposure...

FUKARZETICA: PM me, i think we both figured out who he (or perhaps you were right in calling it she) is!

A IBJJF Cert Black Belt 1st degree is pretty legit especially when Carlos Gracie Jr has signed it so not sure why there are haters. Bodog, Bellator, ADCC, Pan Am brown belt sliver medalist, NAGAs, GQs Champs at the adv level not novice like most schools.. This is what Andrew has put out so far. Ultimate MMA HAS PRODUCED the best talent in ct at this point and Andrew himself has a MMA win over Doug Gordon who KOed Gregor Gracie so id say Ultimate MMA is a bad ass school. Andrew trains with Vitor Shaolin and is associated with Nova Uniao and trained along side Shaolin for over a year before he became affialted and has been there since 08 and he also TRAINS with Marcelo Garcia and has been for 3 years now both in nyc and florida so please stop hating unless you wanna call him out like a real man just shut the f..k up. Andrew has nothing but great things to say about Renzo and his old team and says he would be nothing if it wasnt for Renzo and his partners there in NYC were he started. As for schools if you wanna find a great school your best best is to visit them all and make your choice like that because every school in ct has something to good to offer. Andrew was awared his Black Belt from Renato Miggliaccio his training partner at the time and a Renzo and Ryan 3rd degree Black Belt the promotion was from Renzos blessing and then shortly after left the team to train with shaolin and his 1st degree is thru Shaolin if people need to know exact details.

to say less is just a sign of jealousy.
<--- this.
Every school on that list is fantastic, and none should be considered tier2. BJJ in CT is a close community and pretty much all the instructors in the area cross train with each other, so an attack on one is an attack on all. The poster of that list clearly just had an axe to grind with his former instructor and sucked all the other names on the list into it to give the appearance of legitimacy.

Wow, this thread got out of hand. I train at ATT/Bestway in CT and am happy there. They have a number of satellites besides the Danbury school and we continue to grow.

I can't say anything about other schools in CT as I've never been, but ATT/Bestway I have nothing but good things to say about.

Check out IMBCT located in Waterbury, Chris Smith is a Fabinao Teles brown belt, pretty good instruction and there is pretty much jiu-jitsu everyday.

GRACIE FARMINGTON VALLEY, best style aggressive.... rob kahn (gracie Tampa) head coach, jay bell black belt head coach / owner
