I have shown my gf a few BJJ techniques, and she seems to like it. She is reluctant to grapple with males, though, and would only consider training in a women's class. I've had no luck using Google, so I'm posing this question to anyone who can answer it: Does anyone reading this know of a BJJ school in Massachusetts that schedules women only classes?

I realize that women are welcome everywhere, and that women train in many different gyms. This question is specifically asking about women only classes.

Thank you to anyone who can help.

There aren't enough women really anywhere for a womens only class. I know of only 2 in the whole US and financially it doesn't make sense for either school. They just need to suck it up and train in the general class. Most every school I've been to has at least 1-2 girls training. I used to train at Boston BJJ and I've seen a few girls roll through the class.

Boston bjj, had a class which was more welcoming to women a couple nights a week, i think they had them in the advanced class regardless of there experience since they have some female blue belts that meet semi-regularly. Try contacting to see if its on-going

You could accompany her to try a class where you go, i was hesitant to try bjj because of the homophob in me. My 1st class was mount escape's and once i was mounted the only thing i could think about was the technique to escape.
