With both guys having fights coming up in the middle of the year, it could actually become a possibility. If they both look good in their upcoming bouts I'd love this on the MSG card for a little nostalgia as the prelim headliner. A matchup of two of the pioneers in the lightweight division.

I doubt Gomi wins against Jim (even though it seems like he's declining pretty fast), while I somehow expect BJ to look decent and beat Siver.
I think BJ vs winner if Lauzon/Diego is a big possibility.

he's not ko'ing Gomi, but he should be able to sleep Sage and CM Punk on the same night.

I wouldn't sleep on Siver, but he does remind me a lot of Sherk his wrestling isn't as good. If BJ wins, he really needs to just continue to climb the rankings.

For years, I thought this was a UFC vs. Pride FC dream fight, until I realized that Penn actually fought Gomi back in 2003, and it did not end well for Gomi:
