Man I thought the same. You know things are bad when Mayhem is in the IG comments saying “this is very concerning”.

Social media is shit for a whole lot of reasons, but people who are content to broadcast their steadily declining mental state to a large audience of strangers is one of the biggest. Someone help the guy. Or at least take his fucking phone away until he can tell you what day of the week it is in less than 4 guesses
It's drugs dude. Drug induced. Not concussive force induced. Purely from drugs.
I tried to make this point in another that recent thread about BJ trashing GSP- the point that BJ sounds like he is not well. Few wanted to hear that though, it was "BJ is a resentful asshole."
I'm going to say it again- BJ is not a well man. All of those punches to the head have consequences.
We will keep seeing more and more of this. There is a pretty good list of obvious CTE guys right now, and surely some that aren't so obvious because they aren't making social media posts.
Sorry but this is a fucking awful take, so this is karma for him choosing to follow his dreams instead of doing something easier? This is karma for a rich kid choosing professional fighting as his career. BJ's family had enough money that BJ had a real, legitimate shot at bring whatever he actually wanted in this world. Lawyer, doctor, actor, politician, movie writer, random business owner. FFS his family hosted an mma show because BJ wanted to fight.
Instead of being grateful for the opportunities that others would literally kill for he decided to become a professional fighter. This is his reward: his brain turning into mush.
I played football so I could go to college without crippling debt. Now I tell kids not to pay football because in most cases the risks just don't outweigh the rewards.
Why would we blame it on the UFC if Bj also got a drug problem ? I don't see Randy Couture or Dan Henderson doing this. Difference is the drugs. Drugs alone can make you crazy. Can be all of the above.
CTE and meth can both make bipolar disorder much worse.
Mania with paranoid delusions and an imposter fantasy are on display here.
The imposter fantasy and depersonalization are extremely dangerous.
If a patient doesn't think someone else is real or doesn't view them as an authentic human being it can be a precursor to violence and they won't think twice about assault against the person because they're fake / or an enemy / or an alien / or whatever makes them not count as a human.
Was BJ's father a fighter who warned him not to fight? If not, your analogy doesn't really fitThis is karma for a rich kid choosing professional fighting as his career.
