Bitcoin currency of the future?

I was confident Bitcoin was going to go on a bull run, but now I'm not too sure. The trend at the moment seems to be a more steady growth of Bitcoin, going on a little surge then the Alt's take thier turn every other day or so. Maybe it will stay this way now that its getting easier and easier to buy Alts directly?

ripple didnt crash, it did correct a little bit and slow down.

havent heard anything about restricting mining output. I do know theyve been rolling out the lightning network. The value of bitcoin could end up between 500-1000k between 2020 and 2025. The value skyrocketing is due to its limited supply not artificial restrictions like mining output.
Damn, 500k for one bitcoin?

IDK about that. Wouldn't a better alternative have come out by then? Causing people to switch.

I use Quadriga, but lately the funding options have become more awkward and expensive. Being in Canada I haven't been able to find a better option for making larger purchases. I've used Coinbase as well but you can only make small buys with it

Not a fan of coinbase as you can apparently only buy and not sell and have to move over to another exchange to sell.

Better alternatives have existed for years. It did nothing to stop bitcoins run up from 1k to 20k in one year.

Bitcoin is the big brand name in the market + speculative investment + store of value aka digital gold.

gemini, kraken and cex.io are also good exchanges for putting USD into the market. cex even lets you use cards to buy like coinbase

Coinmarketcap has it at 3.15. That’s a pretty big discrepancy. Makes me wonder what other ones are off.

Unlike stocks, there are many exchanges that can be used to buy and sell cryptos. They're current price is just what the last transaction was based on buy and sell asks. I'm guessing coinmarketcap is an average of several exchanges. Each exchange will be a slightly different price.

The trend occuring is people are buying top 100 - 200 alts. People are looking for the next 10 - 15 x gain.

I recommend Oyster Pearl.. it is a top 200 coin with huge potential upside as it has not been listed on any major exchanges as of now - but according to a dev update today the developers are in talks with exchanges for new listings.

As soon as it hits a major exchange, its price will rocket due to new volume.

Not only that, but the tech itself actually aims to solve a real problem that exists right now at this very moment - unlike many of the other alt coins. The coin has gained over 100% in two days and I honestly expect it to gain at least 10 fold in the next 2 weeks.

I highly recommend you check it out.

going in on prl. been looking at it for a minute

update: decided to change positions and diversify instead of holding out for a bitcoin bull run.

from the time i started my btc hodl to today the total market cap has grown from 770b to over 800b. during that time btc has been hovering around 17000$ meaning that the alt coin craze is still going strong. im going to leave a position in bitcoin and put about 75% into various alts.

I agree 100% with this point of view. My strategy was exactly the same, market is stronger than ever.

bitcoin is definitely going to crawl back over 20k at some point soon but its going to be a crawl and not an explosion

Where do you buy coins which aren't listed on the major platforms? Ether wallet or something like?

between binance, kucoin and cryptopia you can get the majority of good alts. there are over 7000 markets now and the more obscure/smaller the coin, the more obscure and small the exchanges are that you will find them on

Yeah, I'm only on Binance, and PRL isn't listed there.
