Noob here but willing to try this out with maybe $500 investment.
1) To understand it more, there's different digital currencies and different values? In other words, I'd be investing in a currency and not all of them will be successful?
Yes, some will live and some will not. Some are used exclusively as currencies and others are used for other things (ie.; to power the network, to pay fees, ect)
2) I need a digital wallet to buy these currencies. Is there one that you guys suggest?
No, just download coinbase and get started (or use Gemini). Then transfer to GDAX using your Coinbase login, then transfer to Binance/Bittrex/Gate to trade.
3) Which currencies do you guys suggest for a beginner?
ETH is what I always point people towards, but there are several good coins out there.
Thank you Sherbros
Will there has been a lot of money to be made from Tron, it's looking more and more like a scam coin. I would personally avoid it and put money into other coins now.Well that was diaapointing, sold out my Tron for a very, and I mean very small profit (0.004 bitcoin from the 0.2 I invested). I should have sold at least half when it hit 30 but the rumours of who the huge partnership may be had me feeling greedy. Glad I set my alarm this morning to watch it live.
It will probably sky rocket back up now.

There are a lot of scammers out there, but it's silly to think this is all bullshit when there is a massive backing behind some of these projects.I dont trust this digital bullshit. I will always have my gold and land. Fck this bitcoin nonsense.
Never trust anything you cant touch motherfuckers.
I own 3 out of 4 of those. Hoping at least one really takes off.If anyone is interested in a few coins that have a lot of people talking and that definitely seem to have a bright future:

Any Canadians here doing this? Any luck with Quadrigacx or are you using something else?
I use Quadriga, but lately the funding options have become more awkward and expensive. Being in Canada I haven't been able to find a better option for making larger purchases. I've used Coinbase as well but you can only make small buys with it
Coinbase won't let you convert into Canadian dollars, is that right? Could I just send coins from Coinbase to Quadriga and then take it out in CAD?
EthosWhat is BQX? It's not showing up on coinmarketcap
You can buy and sell in Canadian dollars on Coinbase, but there's a daily spending cap up to $250.00. It's more convenient because you can just use a credit card and there's less verification shit to do, but if you're looking to spend thousands you're better off with Quadriga. It has a bunch of hoops to jump through - sending in scans of your ID for example - but then you can fund via bank wire and shit like that and play around with larger amounts
https://support.coinbase.com/custom...90249-canadian-dollars-cad-withdrawal-processAs of August 1, 2016, Coinbase’s Canadian payments provider, Vogogo, has shut down its payment processing business. Because of this, Coinbase is no longer be able to support Canadian EFT transfers, Interac transfers, the storage of customer CAD, or the conversion of digital currency into CAD.
