If he wins I doubt he retires. I'm sure they made him guarantee he would fight one more time or face a heavy fine or something like that.

I'd be happy if Bisping won in the moment, but it would be amazing to see Hendo be the most decorated fighter ever.
 
I don't like this fight one bit.

That said I'd rather see Bisping win. Making this fight after Hendo was talking retirement shows how messed up it is.

Full on WWE shit is what this fight is.

If Bisping loses I hope he never gets another shot. This is major league ducking. The only duck bigger is Conor.

Nah, I seriously doubt that. Him retiring with the belt would bring a ton of attention to the sport because it's a freaking awesome story--you can expect a lot of sportscenter coverage of the story, etc.

And it would make the aftermath super interesting for the MW division.

I see no downside to him retiring with the belt.
 
I may eat crow later but lol @ you fans thinking henderson will walk out from MMA after getting the belt. if he wins, he'll defend because it's gonna be a lot of money for him. the man is 45 and hasn't retired yet, he won't retire on his big payday.

The downside is that the belt loses legitimacy if the champ retires with it.

The belt loses its legitimacy when you have a guy who really doesn't deserve a shot getting it in the first place. They're clearly more concerned with the drama than they are with legitimacy.

To me? Yes the WW belt lost a bit of legitimacy.
