I was there LIVE for MM vs Horiguchi. At the start of the fight, everyone was hyped, hoping to see a competitive fight. After 5 minutes, it was obvious that Hori had nothing for MM. People started leaving and half the arena had left in the third round. Only a handful got to witness the late submission. Not because MM is boring or because he's small: because there was no suspense. His opponent did not make the fight interesting at all: he was badly out-matched. In the end, MM is too good for his own good. He needs a landmark opponent to really break through. TJ would have been interesting but it looks like it's not happening. A shame...
