If you hear the whole segment of the podcast you get the whole point Bisping is trying to make, he said that some of the competition Mighty Mouse has faced is great, like Benavidez, but quality of competition is the only knock on Migthy Mouse claim as the P4P best.

He is basically repeating what a lot of people here are saying, a lot of these podcast are discussions about the hot topics in the mma world.

They created an entire season of TUF to find someone to beat MM.... then when Elliot won and fought MM switched divisions after. When has that ever happened before? Say all you want about MM but ping could never achieve those accomplishments.

Those sources do not say "TJ is the number one contender". They just say the UFC wants to make that fight next. Those are two different things. If TJ was the number one contender at flyweight then he would be number one in the flyweight rankings, but he isn't there at all.
