Bisping may have solidified himself as one of the greatest MWs

Let's face it. Bisping hammered Silva for 3 rounds, and even survived the surprise knee.

With Bispings mix and match record, you can't deny the facts. He has only lost to other fighters who have challenged for the MW title, and has beaten several other good MWs in the division.

Elvis Sinosic is always a tough fight, and Bisping blew right through him. Hamill, Rivera, Akiyama, Leben, Kang, Stann, Le, Thales "Og Lavalo" Leites (who was on a tear), and now a win over Silva. Silva is widely regarded as the greatest MW of all time. All of his losses have been very competitive, and could have gone either way too.

After the display of his striking proficiency against the greatest striker the UFC has ever known, I think it's time that Michael "The Count" Bisping gets his recognition. He is the equivalent of Oregon football. He is the greatest kept secret in the UFC. He gets no hype, but he always performs for the fans.

He is now 2nd for most wins ever in the UFC. The guy has made the most from his abilities and fought a who's who of talent and also a who's who of cheaters. He deserved that big win at the end of his career. Happy for him.

Bisping has been a solid MW gatekeeper for years now. Every time he gets in range of title contention he comes up short. That doesn't make him bad. Just means he's not championship material.

It also doesn't make him one of the best MW's ever. Having the most wins in UFC history without ever holding the belt is not a good thing. It's like having the record for most significant strikes landed or most time in the octagon. Both speak to your inability to finish fights.

Pretty sure this is a troll job, saying that all of his losses were very competitive gives it away. Hendo, Belfort, kennedy and Rockhold all beat him decisively.

This is also the same guy that barely outstruck Dolloway and Leites, I've always thought that if anything Bisping is overrated. Bisping is just a decent striker with great cardio.
