This is probably a noobish question but I have not found an answer for this anywhere. Help me out please.
I started the bill starr 5x5 last week. I'm following the beginner version as outlined by eclipse gym.
I just finished my second week now and now I should try and increase my load next week. Problem is that my gym has only 10 pound increments and the program mentions 5 pound increments esp for bench presses. I can't afford to go to a better gym so that won't help.
How should I do my loading? Should I stay at the same weight for the third week also and then try the 10 pound jump in the fourth week or jump 10 pounds next week itself. I am afraid I may fail if I try the 10 pound jump and working towards failure seems taboo.
