Bill Goldberg's rise

Kevin Nash told Sean Oliver once (Yeeah... I never had a problem with...) that he had been in the business a bit but, between not getting used much and being out hurt awhile in WCW and being mostly a heater in WWF, he didn't have all that many matches before he was made champion.

But Big Kev's memory is as spotty as the napkin next to his plate of ravioli sometimes.

- Man. I read that he started direct on trhe go. Didnt knew that. So he is actualy worst in ring performer than i thought.
I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I enjoyed the hell out of him for what he was. He played the "super dominant unbeatable killer" part perfectly.

- I liked him too. But after his athletic abilities dimished, he condt get a good match. Batista is the oposite, guy became a good worker as he aged.

Are you talking about this most recent run in WWE? (Where he returned to destroy Brock at Survivor Series thru Goonter at SNME)? Yeah, he was definitely way past his prime and his peak abilities, but I still enjoyed seeing him there. What I didn't like was WWE turning him into the typical "old guy jobber for the new guys" and especially sending him out with a loss for his retirement match. It's so typical WWE to do that.

As for Batista, funny enough, I liked Batista when he was in Evolution. When he went solo and changed his theme song to "I Walk Alone" he got gay fast and only got gayer as time went on. I literally could not stand him after about WM23. Which is crazy because he was one of my absolute favorites while in Evolution.

Bill Goldberg can't lace Chad Fortune's boots.
