Biggest weight cut in UFC history

Ummmmm...

Rumble wasn't cutting from his current weight. You do understand that, right ?
This. Rumble cut a ton of weight, but he's gained a lot of muscle mass over the years.

The reason he was at times able to make WW, but missed MW against Vitor, is because he gained muscle for MW.

I think Tibau may cut even more than WW Rumble, but he used diuretics.

Yes, I understand this but the guy fought some of the best fighters in the world at 170 /205/ heavyweight. I do not think he fought at 185, he was supposed to fight Vitor at 185 but missed weight and fought at 205.

based on obvious size to weight division:
-Tibau to 155
-Rampage to 205
-Tito Ortiz to 205
-Rockhold to 185

I don't think Conor is that big (at 145). He's 5'9'', which is KZ territory and shorter than Holloway and Pettis (who was at 155).

Pettis is just an inch taller and failed to make 145. He doesn't look more muscular than McG.

It's incredible the cut difference some guys make. I know 90% of anyone under LhW is going for the most they can. It's rare to see the western style of little to no cut. Maybe we will see a turnaround of that in this post USADA Era because it does often improve cardio and speed.

Glibau was claiming cutting 50-55lbs for many fights.
That can't be right. Maybe LOSING weight in conjunction with CUTTING. If he was 200lbs pre-cut, losing 50-55lbs is losing over 35% of the water in your body. Losing 25% is fatal.
Human beings are 70% water.
70% of 200lbs is 140lbs
50-55 lbs pounds from 140lbs is 35-40%.
Is my math wrong? I got a C in college algebra....twice.

Kenny Florian - fought MW/WW/LW/FW. Not sure how much he cut, but FW Florian was near death I think.

Sorry. 50-55 lbs would make his starting weight 205-210 but that's stil in the fatal range

Nate cut at least 70 lbs to make the WW limit against Conor.

Tito once weighed like 251 a few hours after making 205. Dont know if that was real.

Percentage wise Barao was pretty crazy. He has cut close to 30 lbs of water (I heard he was 163 in the cage once) and it showed at weigh ins, he actually looked inhuman lol.

Dat torso *shudder*

This is why he passed out hitting his head on a bathtub and doesn't fight at BW anymore.
Yeah this is a solid choice.

I remember consistently hearing that he was low 160s/high 150s before starting his water weight cut the week of the fight.

24 to 28lbs is crazy for anyone, let alone a 135er. The reoccurring statement from his camp was that him and Jose Aldo were within a few lbs of each other come fight night

I don't know why they didn't put a scale by the Harley zone or whatever that is. It would be cool to know their actual fighting weight in the tale of the tape. We also wouldn't have to speculate on so much and it would eliminate/create excuses for fights/fighters

Pretty sure it's K Flo although I am rubbish and have no pics, sorry.
