One of the biggest nickname fails until today was "Bigfoot" Silva who was born to be "Bighead" Silva!

Bigfoot KOing the Reem was like a hunchback KOing the evil prince.

Sucked for the Reem, but it was one of those moments that reminds you why you watch MMA. Just crazy.

when he started roaring at Overeem's crumpled body was crazy.

Shit, my copy and paste gif game seems to be compromised on this new board. Do I insert a gif as an image? Damn technology! Kids these days have no respect either!
Damn 2001. I had a 2006 account for a bit but rarely used it and have no idea the email or sign in that corresponds. Are you the singularity or did others exist in the before before 🤔 IMG_0749.png

Wow. I didn't know this happened.

What an absolutely stupid fight haha. Then again, it's Glory and they don't really give a fuck. Their last main event was about just as silly.

Nice of Rico to go easy on Bigfoot.
I mean getting the Reem back only to suspend him for PEDS like...Really?? you think he wasnt gonna take em?? ahahahah

oh well its not like they have to give the fans' money back if he pops

I honestly dont know, but for sure Poatan is a better fighter overall.

Please for the love of god stop posting these screenshots of twitter posts

Never forget Bigfoot’s Kickboxing fight (debut) against GLORY heavyweight-champion Rico Verhoeven.
One of the most random matchups in the organization’s history, lol.
Brutal fight to make<45>

When they announced this, I genuinely thought Glory were on the edge of folding lol. It wasn't like Bigfoot had earned ANYTHING to get him in there. Did nobody watch him train or anything? It was so bad.

I honestly don't see the similarity. I guess they both have stoic expressions in those pics but Bigfoot has a misshapen head, Alex just looks like a normal dude.

Bigfoot at his best was probably a top 15-20 all time HW.
What makes you say that?

We have the fortune of HW being the shallowest division but you have a list or something? He certainly had maybe 3 or 4 very good wins but he peaked great and dropped off worse than anybody else.

I figured it out. Fuckin pain in the ass but if you wanna post a gif you hit insert image and theres a space where you can cut and paste the gif's url

I see three gifs in my post draft, yet only one shows up once posted. 1 out of 3 ain't terrible, right?

Damn punk kids and their music!

There are a couple people around that have been here for exactly as long as I have been and one who joined one day before. That was when Sherdog moved from the equivalent of an Angelfire page to an actual forum. Sherdog existed in some form or other since about 1998 or so. I was quite young back then. The 2001 in my name was futuristic when I first entered.

I'm not that old though really... for a tree.

I meant in terms of his ability more so than resume which is why I put "at his best"

You dont think the Bigfoot of the early 10s was a top 15-20 all time HW ability wise?

Weird, was going to come in and post that... This may be an unpopular opinion but I have Bigfoot by ground and pound... looking at the votes, seems that I'm not alone.

I never knew this happened and was absolutely flabbergasted that that fight would be made, then I saw it was in China and it all made sense.
