A suspected big cat poacher has been eaten by lions near the Kruger National Park in South Africa, police say.

The animals left little behind, but some body parts were found over the weekend at a game park near Hoedspruit.

"It seems the victim was poaching in the game park when he was attacked and killed by lions," Limpopo police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe told AFP.

"They ate his body, nearly all of it, and just left his head and some remains."

not sure, SA isn't exactly 3rd world, so why not find a job? must be a better way of making money then poaching lions.

A lion is less likely to kill you and have you stuffed, waste the meat, and to just drive up to you in a jeep and call it "hunting".

Seriously bro. Someone needs to set up a McDonalds in SA so people don't have to fight lions when they fall on hard times
 
We need a reserve for poachers. They're thinning out.
 
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I don't really feel bad for criminals when their crimes ultimately lead to their deaths or injury.

why didn't the lions simply retreat to a safe distance and dial 911??

One of those beings has the ability to make conscious decisions; the other is acting on millions of years of instinct. And you know one of those beings is supposedly of a higher intelligence and the steward of this planet.
