The economy is very strong right now, but the economy generally doesn't have much to do with presidents. I think he deserves some credit for how quickly we got on track after the pandemic (because of the strong relief package). He's done some big things (infrastructure, manufacturing, great foreign policy), and I think he'll definitely go down in history as a good president, but he hasn't had the kind of defining challenges that make a great one.

Plainly, inflation was a global crisis. Plainly, this affected all rich countries, and was mostly caused by a wave of activity that occurred as pandemic behavior abruptly changed.

The most important thing here is that you can make a doom prediction (which conservatives have for three years that haven’t come true) or you can look at what HAS happened and determine what worked.

Doom predictions are meaningless - based mostly on feelings. But looking back on what has happened, you can see that what Liberals said would occur/how it would play it, has been more accurate than what conservatives said.
