Better chin: DC or Stipe?

I think some people are over-estimating Stipe’s chin saying he took flush punches from Ngannou. I disagree. I don’t think he took flush punches from Francis because he would have been KO’d. I think he rolled well and the punches also didn’t land flush.

I think Stipe has a good chin but not a granite chin. Stipe is a Jack-of-All Trades Master of None. He doesn’t have scary one punch power like a Hunt or Carwin and he doesn’t have a deadly ground game like a Mir or Big Nog. He’s got good boxing with not a lot of kicks (not a surprise for a HW although Cro Cop pulled it off) and his ground game is still unseen. It was horrible against Francis when he could have easily finished him in the later rounds with just a flurry of punches when Ngannou was on all 4s and not risked getting caught.

I think DC had about the same chin as Stipe but it’s been cracked now. Not saying he’s class jawed like Overeem or Arlovski but I don’t think it is as good as it once was. DC has a better ground game on top at least and his wrestling is far better. I see DC using striking mixed with clinch and TDs to wear Stipe down where he’ll go for the TKO GnP finish. We’ll see. I see DC getting the UD in this fight.

Who’s chin is better? We’ll see if anyone lands flush.

Maybe we not even find out in this fight.

Stipe did take a hard shot from JDS though. I loved how JDS dodged his punches, haha.

Ate Rumbles shot. Was kod by Jones but with a kick.

Stipe was hurt and finished by struve, dropped by reem, and stung by Werdum if I remember correctly.

Of course Reem and Frank can KO anyone, but still, with the data we have, Cormier comes out on top.

Stipe has fought some of the hardest hitting fighters in the heaviest weight class and took all of their best shots. He's more tested.

That said, DC has a great chin too.

Cutting weight affects your chin, and DC cuts huge amounts of weight, but was still able to take Rumble's bombs. DC will not get KO'd at HW.
