I mean regardless what one thinks of Eddie, he makes fights happen and is willing to put his fighters to the test. He would've never delayed Mayweather vs. Pacquiao for 400 years like Bob Arum did.
He was also willing to put on AJ vs. Wilder before both turned into walking punching bags.

I dont know. The Benn Eubanks situation was pretty low.

Don King put on some legendary fights too.
So did Bob Arum. Doesn't excuse what they did or became at times IMO

Nobody has the kind of blood on their hands that King does. Dude litterally caught 2 bodies....Killed 2 people. Thats not counting all the fighters who claim he ripped them off.
How bold do you have to be to fuck over somebody like Mike Tyson multiple times knowing you will consistently be alone and at arms length from him.

Eddie and his fighters are making more money now than they ever have and yet he's still found a way to bitch about the Saudi's involvement. As if the biggest fights aren't already being made.

“Only in Riyadh Season,” the promoter said. “And I don’t know how sustainable that is at the same time. Obviously if the business is not working… for those guys, it’s more of an investment for exposure and obviously the Riyadh Season brand, but I think it’s probably making it a bit harder for us to make those bigger fights because of the perceived market value of those fights.”

Eddie Hearn letting it slip that the Saudi investment in the sport is making it harder to make big fights and doesn’t “know how sustainable it is” 😳
 
Blair Cobb with by far the most astute fighter breakdown of Beterbiev-Bivol I’ve seen. Respect to Cobb, he isn’t just regurgitating conventional takes, you can tell he’s though about it. I also happen to see the fight exactly like he does lol.

Cliffs: Cobb thinks Bivol’s pendulum style movement won’t be enough because he can be timed and Artur is expert at delivering short non-telegraphed punches with devastating power.

Yeah I think that constant pendulum stepping in & out might also get him into trouble. Bivol's entries/exits will be timed by Beterbiev likely with crushing straight right hands to the body.
 
Let's see if Bivol can live up to Pernell Whitaker's prophecy. In 2019 Whitaker told ESPN that he believed Bivol would likely go on to become a P4P king. Below is a video clip of them meeting after one of Bivol's fights. In the video he said that Bivol has a vicious left hook. If there is a shot that he can potentially hurt Beterbiev with it's that step-in left hook.

Bivol needs to keep the jab landing all fight and Beterbiev needs to land body shots to slow down the feet of Bivol.

I favor Beterbiev to win probably by split decision - he will land fewer shots but he will land the heavier blows - so it comes down to the judges .
