Bet the house on Luque

I wouldn't, Luque's decline has been an anomaly, one second looking like the next contender and the next moment 1-3 being KO'ed twice, in his last four fights he's lost to Joaquin Buckly, Geoff Neal and Bradley Muhammad

It pains me to say this as Nick may be the last of the Strikeforce alumni fighters but he's cooked.
Same for Cowboy and Tony, I wish Dana would just pay these guys off to dissolve their contracts instead of booking them to fight them out.

What's weird is like 6 months before that fight he was in great shape then showed up in the worst shape of his career.
I was legitimately stunned by the shape he was in. I remember seeing posts he'd made prior that suggested he'd be ready to go, and it was like he took the last three weeks of camp off and sat around eating fries and pounding Schlitz. Whatever the case, Robbie was on the other side of the cage still looking like a relative destroyer, and the outcome wasn't surprising.

At this point I'm not even concerned that he will come in out of shape. I think the Robbie fight really bruised him mentally and emotionally, and I believe he really has worked his ass off for this fight. The concern is that, so did Chuck, when he fought Franklin. Granted, Nick hasn't been KO several times in a row, but it is an example that you cant defeat time, no matter how much effort you give. Nick is a year older than I am and has fought twice in 11 years. Idk that it matters how serious he was for this fight, he let his career pass him by, and he's not fighting a scrub. This is likely his last fight, I just hope he isn't embarrassed again, even if he loses.

Isn't Nick still coachless because he's being extorted by Cesar Gracie, which is why he was in shambles during the Lawler fight.

I would love to see Nick go out on a high, but i fear that just isn't in the cards.

Luque has been looking terrible too. I wouldn't touch this fight. Considering Luque has been way more active lately I guess he should have best odds.

I think Nick is going to get destroyed Tony Ferguson style, he really should be fighting Tony Ferguson. At least that way they both have an equal shot at being destroyed Tony Ferguson style.

I can’t see nick making that walk to the cage to fight luque

Luque will murder him

My bet is fight doesn’t happen

Kind of my feeling too. It's a lose-lose for Luque, too, because if he wins he beat the shadow of a can's ghost, but if he loses. . . .ooooooof. He's absolutely done.

Still, after seeing Nick vs Robby (already a while back), Nick looked like a ghoul, and quit.
