Jesus yeh, I haven't seen it for ages so forgotten most of it, but remember a strong bleak and depressing feel to the whole film that never really let's up. If you're from UK too, you can relate, hopefully not too closely, but you've seen people and stories like that.

Rare combo of being cinematically and lyrically beautiful + hilarious + badass. Crowe's shit-tier singing voice brings it down but they still nail it.

Network is such an important film, one of the best films of the 70's and one of my all time favs.
If you haven't seen it and enjoy older style 70s with zero FX and superb acting, I highly recommend it.

Yeah for sure, I know a lot of people who went through that kind of situation. It was the one movie that Gary Oldman directed and it was based around his experiences growing up around alcoholism
