Queensryche was my dads favorite band growing up. Geoff Tate has an amazing vocal range. That said their music is so fucking depressing holy shit. Operation Mindcrime is a masterpiece, 10 year old me could tell even back then.
Never listened much to Queensryche but there’s an interesting connection between Queensryche, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Heart. All of their legendary lead singers were trained by Maestro David Kyle. And I’m pretty sure that’s how Layne, Chris and Ann all became friends.

Damn, beat me to it. Shame Layne died in 2002, would have been interesting what they had come up with after those amazing albums. Their last two Songs "get born again" and "died" were pretty promising imo. (I know they made new stuff with another singer but obviously it's not the same sound.)

Hell yes, I was once told never listen to Rage for Order on a sunny day, unless you want your mood ruined.

The Zep, Who, Floyd entries are all good.

I believe Stevie Wonder had a great run in the early 70s, I hear mentioned quite a bit. Songs In The Key of Life was one of them. You Are The Sunshine of My Life and My Cherie Amour (killer song) was amongst those I believe.

I'll chip in with...

Rubber Soul
Revolver
Set Peppers Lonely Hearts...

Whoosh...forget about it.
