I don't think that's a fair assumption at all.

That fight doesn't even appear on Sherdog's fightfinder as a pro fight. I think a lot of people don't know it happened. Sherdog only lists it as a pro exhibition on the bottom of Lineker's record: https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/John-Lineker-41906
