Ok so, slaps aren't used very often in MMA but they can be a useful tool, often used to distract or throw your opponent off his game plan or even pull down his guard. I figured since Nate landed a few in his fight last weekend it would be a good time to make a gif thread of the best slaps in MMA.

I'll start it with my favorite all time slap in MMA Luiz Cane against Sokoudjou.

I haven't seen anyone pull off this combo since, i'm hopeful that more fighters will mix it up and throw in a slap to get a strategic advantage either by setting something up or by gaining a mental edge.

nick's on carlos is still #1 for me.

Werdum had a good one right? I can't exactly recall it tho

Randy spanking Tito is no 1 PVP best slapping in a cage.

I just think it's awesome to see these two. Both were considered the second coming for a minute.

I don't see any other move/strike causing more damage to a guy's ego than slapping him in the face

Wanderlei vs. Tito (Tito ran away after slap)
Rutten vs. Frank Shamrock

Yeah the Cane one is my favorite cause he slaps him, pulls down his guard then attacks him where is guard was a split second before, brilliant!
