Best single player game ever made?

FF8 Ramaster (most replayable FF because of cards and junction system, has 3x speed)

The 3x speed is a godsend but I hate remasters. They're never worth it. REMAKES are where it's at!;

Just glad to have another FF8 fan. I can never decide if that is my favorite or ff10.

Tried FF10 for like 30 minus over 20 years ago, but the voice actor for Tidus sounded likes such a goof i quit. Why is 10 one of the best?.

The voice acting is hit and miss, but for the time, it's actually pretty good overall. No getting away from Tidus being a whiny suck, unfortunately. You eventually get used to it, though.

It's got one of the best combat systems and stories. Environments are great. Sphere grid progression is an acquired taste, but it does get addictive filling up the board. It's just a really solid game. Only shortcomings are unskippable, retardedly long cutscenes(can't even skip them in the remaster), some shaky voice acting, and a particular notorious maze section that you will need a guide for. It's also got a few really annoying bosses, but that's par for the course.

I'd give it another shot. Just try and get past Tidus being a sulking dipshit with a whiny voice, and you'll be good.

He is a whiny little bitch but that’s on purpose. He has an arc to follow. I did find his voice acting barely bearable. Perhaps if you prefer you can play it in Japanese with subtitles? With that being said it is my favorite FF of all time. The story is wonderful. The turn based action, types of enemies were top notch for its time. The side game (blitzball) was addicting fun as well.

Its a love story of tidus and yuna. But its a father son bondness too with auron substituting for tidus's real dad.

The story is extremely well written and almost impossible to describe in a paragraph.

Wakka annoyed me more than any of the characters. And his weapon sucks.
