Best Simpsons' Line (Thread #2):

Just off the top of my head . . .

I think my 5 favorite episodes are:

1. The Cartridge Family (Homer buys a gun)
2. I Love Lisa (Ralph Wiggum/Lisa)
3. Bart Gets an Elephant (Stampy)
4. Homer's Enemy (Frank Grimes)
5. Bart's Inner Child (Tramampoline episode)

Clip from above (couldn't find a better one of the line "tramampoline" - sorry!)

"Shake harder son!!!"

I quote that at ramdom times to my friends and they still laugh every time lol.

Another:

Homer: "Son, come here. Of course I'm not mad. If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the garage next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit, and your unicycle, and we'll go and watch TV."

Bart: "What's on, dad?"

Homer: "It doesn't really matter."

And:

[while building a dog house, Homer has been teaching himself not to curse by using a "Swear Jar."]

Homer: [hits his finger with a hammer] Oh... fudge. That's broken.

[steps on a piece of wood, and a nail goes through his shoe]

Homer: Fiddle-dee-dee! That will require a tetanus shot. But I'm not going to swear. But I am going to KICK THIS DOG HOUSE DOWN!

[goes berserk]

The episode when bart becomes Krusty's assistant and Bart ditches the box factory so they call Homer.

Homer:What do you mean you lost him? he could have fallen into one of these machines.

A box comes along the conveyer belt with Barts red cap on it.

Homer:oh my god that's his lucky red cap. he's a box, my boys a box.DAMN YOU, A BOX!!!

Indeed a classic!

The one most memorable to me was when Homer was coaching the football team and Bart is his star quarterback.
Bart walks up in a leg cast and crutches with Milhouse.

Bart- "I've got some bad news Homer."

Homer- "Your mom's not pregnant again is she??"

Wiggum: Fat Tony is a cancer on this fair city. He is the cancer, and I am the...um...What cures cancer?

the best is when apu berates skinner for his Jurassic Park ripoff, and there's a jump-cut indicating he's been yelling at him for a while. Makes me lose it every time

Homer: Hey, what are all these holes? (points at bullet holes in car hood)
Car Salesmen: These are speed holes. They make the car go faster.
Homer: (impressed) Oh yeah, speed holes.

The Flaming Moe's episode where Homer goes to a new bar.

Bartender: WHADDYA WANT?!

Homer: Umm... a beer?

Bartender: *grumbling*

The bartender lowers the shotgun and Homer sits down. The bartender then picks up a grimy glass and pours beer into it and slams it on the counter in front of Homer.

Homer: Uhh... could I please get a clean glass?

Bartender: Yaarrrrrrgh!

The bartender grabs the glass and starts to clean it, he pours more beer into it and slams it on the counter again.

Bartender: *Super sarcastic* There you go, your majesty!

Cletus, the slack jawed yokel: [while hanging from a telephone poll] Hey, I can call my ma from up here.
[shouts]
Cletus, the slack jawed yokel: Yo ma, get off the dang roof!

Not a quote, per se, but a really poignant moment.

Watched some Simpsons from the 20th season tonight. Really good stuff. One moment really was particularly poignant to me, though.

Homer starts a business breaking couples up for those who want an easy out in a relationship. Marge objects on moral grounds, as she often does. Homer's reaction gave me some serious feels.

Hmmm . . . Wish I had more info on that scene.

From Bart Star:

Nelson has some super funny lines right at the end . . .

Something like his dad him up on his Harley and says, "Great game, son. I'm taking you to Hooters."

Nelson: "Aw, I don't want to bother Mom at work."

*Bart Star* is also one of the funnier episodes.

[Lisa has a nightmare and wakes up her dad. Marge is away.]

Lisa: Well, I know it's absurd, but I dreamed the boogeyman was after me, and he was hiding under...

Homer: Ahhhhhhhhhh! Boogeyman! You nail the windows shut, I'll get the gun!

[Homer bursts into Bart's room]

Homer: Wake up Bart! I don't want to alarm you, but there may be a boogeyman or boogeymen in the house!

Bart: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Wiggum: Fat Tony is a cancer on this fair city. He is the cancer, and I am the...um...What cures cancer?

The Sopranos homage when Fat Tony and his crew are driving through Springfield on their way to kill Homer.

And the Godfather homage with Fat Tony's son.

"Lisa, don't ever ask me about my business."
