What’s insane to me as someone who has worked extensively in oil and gas and mineral extraction is how hard the government works to prevent those massive economic drivers to happen too.

Canada has so many minerals, it’s unbelievable. Yet a Quick Look at the trials and tribulations baffnland has had trying to mine show the greater picture. It’s why our economy depends on a housing bubble from mass migration to have anything and it sucks.

10 years ago, housing was less than half, our dollar was on par and companies invested in us. That is all gone now. Americans have no idea how poor we are. We pay California taxes and housing costs while the entire country is poorer than 48-49 states. It’s brutal.
