NFL Best runningbacks.....

My Mack "Truck" Lee Hill story....

The cat was out of Southern U, he was injured as a senior so went undrafted.

Would sign on with the Chiefs, he was something else, power personified. Would win Rookie of the Year terrorizing defeses, a...Truck;

He averaged over 5 yards a carry banging the line. think about that, he drags wanna be tacklers, dude was a bonafide monster.

I his second season he banged up a knee, he would die on the operating table.

Speaking of the Chiefs...

Abner Haynes
Curtis McClinton
Mike Garrett
Tony Reed
Ed Podolak
Woody Green
Christian "Nigerian Nightmare" Okoye
Priest Holmes
Jamaal Charles
Larry Johnson
Robert "Tank" Holmes
Joe Delaney
Kareem Hunt
Isaih Paheco\
Clyde Edwards Helaire
Mack "Truck" Lee Hill

Who compares to that?

Ashton Jeanty averaged 3.7 this season that won't work.

Decent NFLer 4.0-4.1 good 4.2-4,4 stud anything 4.5 and above.

Now obvious bangers like a Csonka, Ironhead, Alstott can get away with 3.9 but not a RB they were fullbacks.

Best RBs I've seen play in my lifetime

1. Barry
2. Adrian Peterson
3. Walter Payton
4. Derrick Henry
5. Eric Dickerson
6 Tomlinson
7. Marshall Faulk
8. Emmitt
9. Edgerrin James

Very solid list there, all great just did it differently.

Barry has gotta be the best......did I really just see that.....RB ever, very special.

His Oklahoma State days were outrageous, hell he returned kickoffs.

The only reason I could include Payton was because I grew up in Chicago. Otherwise I was 8 when he retired and probably would have zero recollection of him. When I really got into football Neal Anderson was RB1 in Chicago.

What all the fuss is about....

He was out of Jackson State making him the best HBCU RB all time.

Yeah I vaguely remember watching him. I was in first grade when the Bears won the Superbowl and my memories of him were mostly from that season.

Kinda funny that my first memories of a great running back was also a Bear

10 best RB's who never had a 1000 yard season

No particular order

Hall of Famer...Hugh "King" McElhenny Niners
Hall of Famer....Lenny Moore Colts. would be a receiver today
Matt Snell the real MVP of SBIII Jets
Don Perkins Cowboys, yep, look up left
Willie Galimore Bears
Timmy Brown Eagles
Terry Metcalf Cards
Mack "Truck" Lee Hill Chiefs, most powerful back I ever saw, a monster, banged up a knee in year two, died on the operating table.

Honrable mention....Jim Thorpe, dude ran a 9.8 100 in 19way back.

A 25-10 long jumper while at Long Beach State, yep, father of NCAA long jump champ Eric Metcalf

Any list without Adrian Peterson is criminally unjust and just plain wrong!

Not as amazing as Barry Sanders but his resume is every bit as impressive as Barry's IMO. The man NEVER had a top 10 QB (I think... definitely never a top 5 QB) and had to stare at 8 defenders in the box almost every single play. Still led the league in rushing year in and out. Was the undisputed non-PPR RB to draft during his prime and even with PPR he'd still be the best choice before anyone else in fantasy football.

I remember watching a pre-season game to see how good he was... The man took a handoff, ran right, spun and made one defender miss, bulldozed the next one and then outran everyone else for a long TD. I immediately knew I had to draft him with my first pick. Didn't care where in the draft.. He was my first choice... AS A ROOKIE! Won the league that year.

He doesn't get enought credit for his speed, he was a 10.2ish cat in high school that is fast. Why he didn't compete at OU, ???

Yeah my list as far as who I've watched play) is purely based on how they dominated the position and not really taking numbers into account.

Petersons combination of speed and power was just hard to match imo. Henry is a bit stronger, but definitely not as fast. Barry and Payton are at top for agility imo
