It's weird the title is "of the year" but they were discussing fights from past years when it came to the P4P discussion.

Khabib only fought once in 2019 and its hard to name a P4P "for the year" or redundant be because they already had Male Fighter of the Year, Female, Rising Star of the year etc

In the end it's mostly just stuff that's fun to talk about. People get super worked up about it, but the entire point of GOAT and p4p discussions is debate. If there was consensus, nobody would ever talk about it.

So here’s my take. I think goat discussion depending on how I feel on a given day I can justify GSP, Jones, or Fedor. That being said his return, for me, had nothing to do with it. IN MY OPINION, Michael Bisping was arguably the weakest middle weight champ we’ve seen in a decade.
What would have made GSP an undisputed goat, would have been coming out to hose Weidman after the back to back finishes over Silva. Instead, I’m left wondering, why not Rockhold. Why not Weidman. Why not Silva. All these guys we thought would do so well, and he takes his 1 shot on Bisping? I mean COME ONNNN.

Well, he beat Rockhold for the MW title, so surely you should regard him as being the even weaker champion. Anderson as a fighter was hit and miss in terms of performance. He looked either Godly or lukewarm. I don't think he looked bad in his fight with Bisping and whichever way he was playing it he lost. Bisping also tied up a few loose ends in avenging losses and in doing so put him at the top of his game.

Bisping beat both Silva and Rockhold and GSP beat the rightful MW champion. That gives him quite strong P4P credentials on top of him already being regarded as such.

He was making an argument for Jones being P4P best actually.

Not everyone picks their friend lol.

One potential bias is for him to say Jones is #1 because he's the only guy DC hasnt been able to beat.

I actually think DC is a serious P4P GOAT candidate. He could have been a 3 division champ if he didnt like his comfort food so much. Even in this recent video he looks heavier than ever.

Khabib plays it safe fighting smaller guys at 155. He belongs at WW. He beat Al who was on short notice. He beat Conor who's smaller than him and was out of UFC for 2 years. Then he beat Dustin who was wrecked by Conor. His day is coming.
My vote is for Adesanya for KOing Whittaker, who was a true baddass champion in every way.
