This is from a recent 40 min video "UFC: Best of 2019"

For most of it they voted on stuff like KO of the year, submission of the year, best comeback within a fight during the year etc and then they finished off with a vote for the #1 P4P Fighter.

In the end it went to Khabib for the way he Dominates!

Otherwise I was really impressed with DC's humbleness, he spoke very highly of Stipe and Jones throughout.

Imo you give it to jones over khabib simply because of longevity and the fact that jones has shown he can do it so many different ways. I do think khabib is likely the most dominant offense wrestler we’ve ever seen

Ya khabib is his buddy but he also had a bias to pick Jones since he lost to him, it makes DC look better if the only guy he hasnt been able to beat is #1 P4P.

Smith had that same bias too.

I guess Khabib hasnt lost enough rounds or gotten enough DQ's or PED busts to be considered GOAT in your opinion lol

I think after Holloway’s two recent losses it’s become a lot less complex. With stipe, the DC loss takes him out for me because jones is the man to beat, and he won each of his two fights vs the same fighter. Usman and Adesanya are just too new to be on that level. So that really leaves us with cejudo, who has been somewhat of a shock, khabib and jones. So I get why it’s between those two guys, I just think jones takes it

Yes, i know what it means. Jones i believe would be just as effective at any weight class as he seems to have an almost supernatural talent for fighting. GSP and DC have similar insight into martial arts and reached the top of their game in not just their own respective weight classes but also became champions in other weight classes.

Off the top of my head these guys are my top 3.

Khabib is most definitely number 1 P4P. Jones makes a solid case for number 1 too but he's just had a close fight while Khabib has annhilated everybody. I have Khabib ahead of Jones in p4p rankings but Jones ahead of Khabib in the GOAT rankings.

And out of this insanely talented group he’s the sole survivor? He’s cleared the division multiple times. I think when khabib takes on tony, I’d be putting him somewhere around where I had jones after the first Gus fight if he wins

So here’s my take. I think goat discussion depending on how I feel on a given day I can justify GSP, Jones, or Fedor. That being said his return, for me, had nothing to do with it. IN MY OPINION, Michael Bisping was arguably the weakest middle weight champ we’ve seen in a decade.
What would have made GSP an undisputed goat, would have been coming out to hose Weidman after the back to back finishes over Silva. Instead, I’m left wondering, why not Rockhold. Why not Weidman. Why not Silva. All these guys we thought would do so well, and he takes his 1 shot on Bisping? I mean COME ONNNN.

It's weird the title is "of the year" but they were discussing fights from past years when it came to the P4P discussion.

Khabib only fought once in 2019 and its hard to name a P4P "for the year" or redundant be because they already had Male Fighter of the Year, Female, Rising Star of the year etc
