Movies Best Opening 15 Minutes of a Film

Inglorious Basterds.

Easily one of the greatest opening scenes to a movie. Also fits the criteria.

Don't know how many minutes this is... but as a father to daughters, the opening to Black Widow always gives me goosebumps.

Perhaps not the best, but I always appreciate the opening of Clue. It's simple, yet, robust. The vivid hues of the billowing clouds, the swirling wind, the full moon casting light on a foreboding mansion, just as night (and car) arrives. Such a great atmosphere builder. One of my favorites.

A Clockwork Orange

Not 15 minutes but the opening is very nice with the soundtrack specially imo.

I like The Shining opening too. The car scene with the classic theme song showing them traveling in the road is a classic to me.

A thousand words are worth a picture.

Or a video.
If you can't remember the first 15 minutes of the film, and are unable to watch it because your legally-bought DVD is scratched and you're not up on the digital stuff, I can help you get a free digital copy.

The Shining = good choice

Rocky 3, shows the end of Rocky II and then Rocky beating up a bunch of cans to "Eye of the Tiger", epic start.
Came here to say the Rocky movies from 3-5.

The A Team movie had a good cold open iirc.
