Best non goat record?

Big Nog did ok in Pride and the UFC.

The answer is clearly Clay Guida. He was never a champ, but those are wins to be proud of. He also had a lot of wins against mid tier competition.

Josh Thomson
Dos Anjos
Anthony Pettis
Nate Diaz
Gomi
Hioki
Kawajiri
Joe Lauzon
BJ Penn
Michael Johnson

Wow yeah, so underrated. This guys won against some of the best guys and lost to some of the best guys out there.

Guys fought pretty much everyone worthy of fighting.

For a dude that came out of a small town in Missouri and was getting submitted by mediocre regional guys…….Michael Johnson to me, has an impressive list of scalps

He continually impressed GSP as coach on TUF as well. He turned a magical corner after his stint on there

Fun Fact: I was offered to fight him back in the day. He has a win over my old-man coach who fought and didn’t care if he was old LoL

I trained with guys that beat him too, I almost took the fight but it was like 4-5 days notice in his home-town

Pettis gets overlooked a lot because of some bad losses and inactivity. But he had a some huge wins and plenty of fun fights. Gil and Benson were seen as impossible to submit and he subbed both of them while making it look easy.

Wins over Tim Sylvia, Brock, Big Nog x2, and Bigfoot isn't too bad.

I just rewatched his ufc 72 I think it was? Where he fought Tyson griffin. I honestly haven’t seen it since, and I thought the video was sped up. A fight he should have won as well

Rampage is never is goat talks and has a lot of great scalps.

I don't mean 32 and 0 against scrubs. I mean guys like mousse, shields, henderson, belfort, shogun..... Who has the best wins against the best guys that isnt usually in any goat talks. Be relevant. Jake Paul could be on the list by names alone, so, keep in mind age and injuries and all that other stuff.

Came here to say Shields. Respect.

Hendo
Okami
Lawler
Daley
Sakurai
Kampmann
Maia
Condit
Ryan Ford

It's an insane resume.

It's an insane resume.

It is. Although half of them are decisions he arguably lost. You didnt mention a UFC champion in Woodley btw

Steve Jennum- Won UFC 3 in a war against unbeaten Harold Howard. Came back at UFC 4 to smash Melton Bowen, in a now legendary fight. His only losses are to Tank (never tapped), Marco Ruas (conspiracy) and Jason Godsey (got paid off to tap to save a young boys life).
We'll always remember you Steve!

Werdum has finishes over the holy trinity at HW. Fedor, Big Nog and Cain. Also finished the reem, Aleks Emelianenko and many others.
