I haven't seen any threads about this in particular. Backstage after 196:

He was as articulate and co-operative as I have ever seen him and hilarious to boot. I'm the 145# champ now so I guess I will do that for a while and then we'll see....

His analysis was a fuck of a lot better than anything you would expect from people who paint him as a pot-headed gangster from the hood. I hope to hear more.

He lost me a bit with the failure to make weight before but I feel he has totally redeemed himself lately.

And that huge guy behind Megan looks like he is about to eat everybody

What you try'n to say?! Pot-headed gangsters from the hood cant be articulate? Look at Obama. Good vid OP.

Nate Diaz has only missed weight once in his career and he alerted the UFC and his opponent Dos Anjos way before hand what the deal was, due to going into the fight after an injury during camp. I'd say he handled missing weight better than anyone else has, why would that be reason for him to "lose you"?

He's happy coming off an awesome performance and most importantly he got paid well. Also, he's technically the most sober you'll ever see him since he's had to stay clean for a while - he's naturally high. It also doesn't hurt that the interviewer is hot as hell. Basically all of the stars aligned in this very moment.

I didn't know any of the background circumstances, only that he missed weight and looked like shit in that fight; just too busy to keep up with much of what is happening outside the cage lately. By lost me, it was just sort of "what the fuck?" moment for me because I have a lot of respect for him.

Anyway, out of the whole post, including the video, you find that one comment needs to be addressed? Who gives a fuck? Was the post anything other than complimentary?

I'd gladly eat Megan...

Weird that Nick gets most of the attention. Nate has always been the more chill, more personable and better technical fighter. Nick is just bigger, more powerful and more whiny thats all.

Just realized Diaz basically calls Conor a panic wrestler.

Just to be that person - but he missed weight against Cerrone ;) Actually, he must have weighed in again afterwards as it doesn't mention him being over the limit.

I remember watching it on one of Dana's vlogs and Cerrone is telling him he doesn't care and I think he mentioned something about 'not caring about the money' - fighter's get X % of the other fighters purse if they miss weight. Anyway, I wonder if the recipient can decline to take the other fighters money. Fair dues to Cerrone if that was the case

You've been here for more than a year and you still don't know the difference between op and ts?

No Nate made weight against Cerrone. He was one pound over during the weigh in, but fighters have a few hours to make weight after the weigh in, which Nate did.

Yeah, I looked to see if he re-weighed in again but it didn't mention anything - wikipedia didn't list it as a catchweight or that Diaz was over the limit, so I assumed he had a second go.

Anyway, I was thinking if a fighter doesn't make the weight if his opponent can decline to accept a % of his purse - which would be a bit daft - but that's what I'm (almost) sure Cerrone mentioned in the vlog.

We all know how much Cowboy loves them dollars. Can you link the video to the Vlog you're talking about?
