I'm looking to get a pair of training gloves. I want to be able to do both stand up and groundwork during sparring sessions, and I hope to get a glove for a decent price.

- Good amount of padding to allow harder strikes without risk of injuring my partner.
- Forms well to the hand, allows fluent finger and hand movements during grappling.

Thoughts?

Most people I know wears proper muay thai/boxing gloves when they train standup for MMA since its much safer and they can go a tad harder when they spar. For drills though, I recommend a more shooto-style glove since there is more padding and it feels more unrestricted (at least for me).

I've got these (pic below) and, although expensive, is worth every penny

I have those gloves and a cheaper identical version thereof, they are great for softer sparring, wouldn't want to get hit full bore with thm though, you would still feel it.An actual MMA glove I wouldn't want to get hit by I must say..

anyone every use Triumph*United Superlative MMA Gloves? MMAHQ has them for $20 today and I was thinking of getting some. I'm just looking for a starter pair as I'm going to start MMA at my gym soon. I already have 16oz sparring gloves and bag gloves from Muay Thai

I have the fairtex MMA FGV15 sparring gloves too, and I highly recommend them.

Primetime gloves were the best. I wish they were still available.

I've heard good things about Radius Wraps gloves. I was gonna try to pick a pair up if they go on sale this Black Friday

Get those. For only 20 bucks you got nothing to lose. If you want to spend more, check out ring to cage mma gloves or the hayabusa ones.

Yeah the radius wrap ones are sick, I played around with a pair the other day. Those couples with that radius wrap system is awesome.
