best mic work of all time

Flair's peak cannot be touched. Everything just flowed so well with perfect confidence/charisma. Once the 90's hit though it was nothing but scream, inhale, scream, inhale. Didn't have that flow to it anymore.

MEAN! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! BY GOD GENE!!!

In no particular order.
Flair
Rock
Cornette
Dusty
Superstar
Heenan
Blassie
Piper
Grand Wizard/ Abdullah Farouk
Funk. (Terry of course)
My favorite indivdual promo is Archie Gouldie's promo when Bad News Allen turned on him and crippled his son. "Jeff, youre not going to wrestle anymore. But I am."

Please post more.

I love the save when he forgets and just starts talking.

A fighter has got to do it at least once right?
JOEEEEEEEE WOOOOOO BY GOD ROGAN!!!!

Did you start watching rasslin in the mid 90's?
Quick list off the top of my head of people better than Nash

Ric Flair
Vince McMahon
Jake Roberts
Roddy Piper
Buddy Rogers
Arn Anderson

I've yet to see Heyman botch a promo...with the exception of his mic going off on him for some strange reason.

Can't believe no one has yet mentioned mick..
This was a quite brilliant moment from him..
i tried to embed it, if it don't work the link is here.

and some of the ones he and raven did in ecw were second to none in my eyes..

We should ask Tom Lawlor to do it.

Oh my......How did i forget, one of the greatest promo's ever...and i mean EVER!.....

I always thought 99-00 Rock was the best, but I guess this is about more serious promos. I'd probably go with Mick Foley. Can't really commented on the 80s because I'm not too familiar with it.

I'm not saying either of these two were the greatest mic workers of all time, but this might be one of my all time favorite promos. They show emotion, work in the date of the event, and carry the storyline. More wrestlers should study old school promos like this.

Pretty much everyone worth noting has been mentioned already, but I want to give some love to Jerry "The King" Lawler. The dude always killed it on the mic, and then went on to be one of the greatest ringside commentators. He was always pretty quick witted and had clever sayings, such as saying he and Andy Kaufman couldn't warm up to each other even if they were cremated together. That's classic. He was also a great heel.

I think he's head and shoulders above a lot of the guys in the business, and deserves at least an honorable mention as one of the best ever on the mic.

Yep, ol' Reggie Lisowski sure could cut a good, and funny, promo.

Mick Foley had amazing character work as Mankind and as Cactus Jack.
Punk was amazing, I felt he got the bettter of Nash in their exchanges, destroyed Jeff Hardy and his work with Vinnie Mac and the Nexus had some awesome moments.
The Rock was amazing.
Triple H is better now than he was when he was in his prime. He seems to do less of the Uhh saying Uh after everything.
Heyman takes my vote for best Mic work.
I love Kurt Angle.
EC3 has been doing really well lately. I see potential there.
Flair was pretty epic.
