I know neon belly works well, but what else is good for calming them the fuck down? We have a new whitebelt who's strong and just completely spazzes out every time he rolls to the point where he gasses after like the second match. Not to mention he slaps people by accident all the time and has kicked me in the head going for an armbar so hard it cranked my neck. I want to neon belly that kid so bad.

hold them in the guard w/ your hands behind your head and just watch them. after a few minutes sweep their shitty base using your legs. that usually calms them down a bit.

Try pink belly, it is thought to have a calming effect. One shade known as "drunk-tank pink" is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates. A neon belly might cause them to spaz even more.

I find that it's easier to control spazzes in side control; flowing between it and scarf usually.

But really it can depend on that particular spazz.

side control, and even let them put you in half guard and crossface control while talking to them. I have held a couple of them in armbars and told them I won't let go unless they promise to relax.

the one where u triangle your legs around their neck with one arm in.

try the back naked choke. yknow the one where you get naked, jump on his back and start humping him?

neon bellies might work though.

>>try the back naked choke.

Do you have to get the "third hook" in for that to work?

I can't believe I totally missed neon belly... I hang my head in shame.

LOL NEON BELLY.

How to beat a spazz? Use superior technique.

My neon belly only works when the instructor turns on the black light.

Any suggestions on how to improve the intensity under normal conditions.

alright guys, it's not that funny.

I'll suggest back control with a tight body triangle somewhere above his hips. He'll panic and spend all his energy, but you should be safe and having fun.

I'm new to this section...someone please explain Neon Belly. TNX

The correct answer is side control. Wrap up them up and keep your head in tight and let them gas. I ussualy use the old forearm in the face/throat when they try for pressure points or something.

I sympathize with you completely, every time someone new comes in they freak out so bad! Every grip is to the point where their knuckles are white and they sweat all over you BAHH!

I would say basically use what ever you have the best defense in and piss them off. For instance, I have really good defense on my back so I just keep them in my guard until it is time to switch and then watch them go over to the next partner all wiped out :)

i genrally deal with spazzes by not rolling with them. if i wanted to roll with a spaz i'd go get in a street fight.
