My girl and I went to a Frenchy's for lunch on Monday. My sister loves it and my girl wanted to go. At first I was like, "aw hell no" because I'm a Popeyes man, but we went anyway because I could tell she really wanted to try it.

We were both VERY surprised at how excellent it was, and agreed we were excited to go back again soon.

And, tbh, the whole 30+ minutes we were there, we were the only white people in the joint. Very telling, IMO #stereotypesexistforareason

Roy Rogers was the best when I was growing up. They closed down all the locations, though. Now I only see it on the Jersey Turnpike.

The chicken I had at Popeyes was the worst fried chicken I've ever had.

Yellow, little crunch, no flavor. I've had better fried chicken at a Highschool cafeteria, no joke it was horrible. Guess I got a bad popeyes or they're massively overrated.

Frenchys makes my mouth water, love that dirty rice too..

We each got a two-piece white meat chicken and fries, but we also got a side of the boudin balls - VERY tasty, and highly recommended. Can't wait to go back, I'm excited to try ALL of their side items. The honey biscuit-thingy was the absolute tits.

We have several Roy Rogers restaurants in MD. It's the only fast food place I really like. I don't think I've ever been disappointed getting food from there.

Only places I ate at were KFC, Popeyes, Churches and Roscoes. I can't remember the last time I ate at Churches. Since I was a young kid. Haven't ate at Roscoes in a decade. I think I ate at KFC 1 or 2 times in the past 5+ years. Popeyes I eat a few times per year, especially since I have one right near my work. By default I like Popeyes, but I know I'm missing out on the real deal.

I'm pretty sure Roscoe's is the only franchise not in Hawaii.
