We live in a world where most people will go about their daily lives never fully realizing the greatness that is Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

I miss this one and it’s next to impossible to find most of the seasons, and what few ones that are out there are more and more difficult to track down. Haven’t see any episodes in a couple years...

Wonder years,
quantum leap and
what was the name of that Vietnam war series with Paint it black as the theme song? I thought that show was cool because of the music.

I think the title of Vietnam war series was
called China Beach.

latest

They recycled the theme song for the Olympics for a few years and it always damn near brought a tear to my eye.

I liked Dream On.

Nah, he's talking about Tour of Duty. Definitely a good forgotten series. Some of those actors should have gone on to a little more acclaim and bigger careers.

@GergreG

The end credits theme was good too (both versions).

The Vietnam War series was Tour of Duty. I also thought it was China Beach but Paint It Black as the theme song didn't seem right, so I googled.
I don't remember Tour of Duty, didn't even know Carl Weathers was in a tv show back then.
Interesting sidenote reading about Tour of Duty, they changed the format after China Beach started airing, introduced female characters and went to a more procedural format, thought that would draw more viewers.
Didn't work out, it only lasted 3 seasons and China Beach only lasted 4.

The first show that came to mind upon seeing this thread was Reaper.

The Norm show

Coach

Coach was great. It was a staple of my adolescent tv viewing. Star Trek Deep Space 9 is awesome, but that has been gaining much more fan fare since Netflix because people can binge watch it.

Others I really liked include:
Remington Steele
Matlock
The Rockford Files

Carl Weathers joined up when the series was on its last legs. But he was the star of Street Justice around the same time.
