"Best debut ever"?

Silva's, Ryan Jimmo's (RIP), and JDS's debuts all come to mind as more impressive showings.

Quite a few people here thought Chris was going to win as well.

That was completely fuckin ridiculous.

Tow that party line Fox. Fuckin embarrassing pack of lemmings over there.

It was great. Lets just leave it at that.

People these days are just way too quick with using superlatives.

Last year almost every card was "historical". Every fighter that finds success early is considered the future GOAT.

It's ridiculous.

Beating the number 5 ranked guy in your debut in this age of mma is unheard of

we could easily come up with a list of more impressive debuts.

I think we just need to remember that hyperbole is a requirement when working for the UFC lol

Anderson's debut was basically terrifying.

People have a hard time grasping context.

They aren't saying it was the most technically sound performance or debut.

But DAMN was that an entertaining fight!

And that is Justin Gaethje in a nutshell.

Entertaining as fuck
not super technical,
Little to no head movement
insane heart, cardio, recovery
Brings fireworks to the cage

Silvas debut was literally perfection.

But Gaugey's was still awesome, can't take anything away from that. Definitely top 5 debut

No. Just no. Even McChicken's debut was better.

People forgot that Luis Palomino, a journeyman, almost beat Gaethje twice. And Johnson could have been winning two 10-8 rounds before the finish. Nuff said. lol

The Palomino fights take away from his debut? How does that make sense?

it was the best debut that I can remember, even better than the ones you guys are listing. lol yall fuckin hated Leben and cried like babies when he got that fight vs Silva so you guys already knew who was winning. This was a long exciting back and forth fight, very entertaining

I missed the damn fight & it sounds like I missed a good one

I'm guessing they're referring to the excitement of the fight & not dominance.

People are idiots. This Justin kid is chinny as hell. Go watch Anderson debut. Or Conors. You know, when both those guys destroyed there opponent in the first round, and weren't doing the chicken dance.

Do not put Anderson and McGregor the Protected Hype Train in the same sentence
