Best boxer in kickboxing?

yea lol
I think most couldn't tell my post was sarcastic because they don't remember or maybe just are newer to the sport lol
I read Sato and was ready to disagree lol than I saw Kohi and knew it was a joke / sacrcastic. Kohi with the front kick. Ktfo by front kick. He even beat Kraus with a front kick knock down. Knock downs were overpowered in K1, automatic 10-08, at least you get a extra round. And they give the first round draw so much. Andy would just wait out the first round and pace up 2 & 3.

I think most Probably only know kohi from k-1 and his absolute beat down from Buakaw
but he was a beast with his kicks and clinch in his own right

Yeah you gotta win without boxing. Just knees and kicks. It's impressive. The South African white guy broke his style though, kicker vs puncher and he effectively closed the distance and battered him. Virgil Kalakoda. Pro boxers turned kickboxer.

I mean everyone can punch, not everyone can win by kicking.

My mention for MT is Somluck Kamsing.
KB - Buakaw, Doumbe and Antonio Plazibat.
I'm a huge Buakaw fan (as you can see by my avatar), but I don't think Buakaw has/had good boxing at all, he relied a lot on his reflexes and had decent head movement though. A Buakaw with solid boxing would have been even more amazing than he's been.

Rarely has anyone countered like that, with such a reaction and timing as he did.

Klit was former am KBer , Huck and Briedis, these later had pro boxing titles, Povetkin etc.
Pov was am KBer worked till Olympic Gold in boxing.

totally agree! his style is pretty wild but super effective. its crazy how he could knock out top guys just by spamming those high kicks and knees. definitely makes for an exciting fight!
In a way yes but he was so high level his hands still worked. Extreme case of kicker. But he managed to knock down Badr, Zimmerman and Ûbereem with a punch. Not cause his boxing is good, he is just overal so good. It's like he suprises you if he punches cause he is is kick dominated. His style is very specific. Knees, mostly to the head, and spamming roundhouse kicks. Ocassional punching. Doesn't spin or teep. He just spams so many high kicks if 1 out of 10 lands it's already worth it. Was also extremely fit in his prime, light and rangy. My favorite at HW. Just fancy roundhouse kicks beatdown.

Chris Algieri and Caleb Plant were both undefeated kickboxers.

There’s a guy named Troy Dorsey who I believe held world championships in boxing and kickboxing concurrently - I think the only person to ever do so. Interesting guy, also a black belt in BJJ.

James Warring also held titles in boxing and kb at the same time.
