Ben Askren On Burkman's UFC Deal

Needs to start sitting front row at UFC events with that One Fc money and raise hell.

You blame him for getting told to go to WSOF when he's a regional champion, undefeated record with a great wrestling background? They let complete rejects into the UFC and Ben can't get a deal? I don't blame him for talking shit and not wanting to fight for pennies.

Its his fault he doesn't want to suck Dana's balls? The UFC SHOULD be about having the best talent, unfortunately Dana's ego prevents that from happening.

Askren must be swimming in his own tears at this point in time. They should start filming a reality tv show centered around him right now.
 
Well i think Dana had opened the window for Ben recently, and Ben took the opportunity to be like oh you want me? Screw you bald fat man

I don't see how hes now sour about others getting signed. He wants to fight in the UFC but so badly wants to show up Dana and those in charge......Can't have it both ways

Suck Dana's balls? No its just being professional and not lambasting your future employer every chance you get. I like Askren but his thing of always speaking his mind is going to bite him in the butt.
 
Arsken should really keep quiet & not shit on the ufc, if he ever wants to grace the octagon.
 
Ben shouldn't have talked so much shit when he was in Bellator. He's a product of his own poor choices. Common sense dictates that you wouldn't talk trash about the NFL if you were best player int he CFL.

Come on now, Askren is not Fedor. Askren isn't even a second rate John Fitch and the UFC cut that guy.

Maybe they're just genuinely uninterested when it comes to Askren and feel that he has absolutely nothing to bring to the UFC. I certainly see him that way, and I've suffered through a lot of his fights.
 
If he's as happy as he says he was with One FC he'd stfu already. I wasn't a fan, than I was via that ridiculous interview when they cut him off, but now I'm already cold on him again. The guy is just annoying and hasn't beaten anyone good. I'm sure he is top 10 but that's about it. Would love to see him do more but if not, he's not convincing me he's anything extremely special as an MMA fighter by beating cans and now it's obvious he is just trying to stay relevant by talking.

Can't hate him for it but I see right through it.

What reality are you from?

They would never tell a fighter to go to a competitor, and yes they did offer him a deal, I bet a better deal than what Connor Mcgregor got for his debut.

How can you blame the UFC when they are the ones who created and are providing this very opportunity?

There's nothing wrong with wanting to see the product before you invest in it, if Funky was smart AND as confident as he claims he would've signed a short contract, went in and got 1-2 finishes and then found himself in a vastly superior position with fans clamoring for his eventual return.

Reality, same rules for everyone.

If Askren would have went to WSOF and won a fight or two he would probably be in the UFC too. Talking shit about the guy he wants to employ him doesn't help either.
 
I used to be on Askren's side, but he really is not doing himself a favor by keep burning more bridges. Win more fights, shut up, and sign with the powerful Baldy.

If three organizations in North America don't want him, what's that say about his value or perceived value? WSOF offered him a low ball deal, the UFC didn't want him and Bellator openly let him shop the market.
