Thought he might get a final shot in Sydney at UFN 33, facebook card filler etc. But I can see why they cut him, although i'd have preferred he get a final fight on home soil against a newcomer.

But seriously, LW and WW have more fighters than the other weight classes (probably because most athletic males aren't 260lbs or 125lbs), and when there are 84 active fighter profiles (http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Weight_Class/Welterweight) listed on their official website, there's little room for underperforming. He'll probably be back when they go to Australia/NZ next year.
