So this is part 2 of my yet to debut Bellator Signings and will feature 155-265 So let's get started!!
155 LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION
Ryan Scope (11-1)25yrs old Sunderlund Fight Pit,Former BAMMA 155 CHAMP
With 4kos/4subs out of his 11 wins he has shown great skill and an evolving game from fight to fight.Has a high ceiling and a bright future but 155 is a stacked division and he will have to learn quickly to emere at the top.If he's built properly he could be a great fighter for sure.
Ryan Walker (7-3)28yrs Gracie Barra Portland
Submission specialist with 4 subs out of 7 wins he has a decent standup game and is a solid mid tier guy.He will have a rough road trying to get ranked but he can have some success early and possibly become a mid tier contender we shall see.
170 WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION
Jon Fitch (39-17-1) 40yrs AKA,Former PFL WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION
On a 4 fight win streak including Jake shields, and yushin okami.Jon is a tenacious wrestler with a grinding top game and excellent cardio. His experience and skillset make him a tough outing for most guys at 170.He is definitely a big name and could be in title contention with a win or 2.
Dillon Danis (0-0) 25yrs SBG Ireland,McGregors Bjj coach and accomplished Bjj black belt and competitor.
Saying Danis is confident would be understatement of the year......love me or hate me attitude he will draw fans if his skills can even remotely backup his mouth. With no MMA experience it's a mystery as to what his full game is but it will be interesting to see what this kids got.
Yaroslav Amosov (19-0) 24yrs Combat Dobro
Former Tech-Krep FC WW CHAMP.
Yaroslav is an undefeated killer......of his 19 wins he has finished 17 via 8kos/9subs.He has ko power and a legit rounded game making him a very solid fighter. He will be a true threat in the division and I could see him challenging for the strap eventually.
185 MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION
Hracho Darpinyan (17-8-1) 31yrs Team Schrijber.
On a 4 fight win streak and 14 finishes in his career via 6kos/8subs he has shown a penchant for finishing and an aggressive style that is fan friendly. He will likely be a mid tier kinda guy but he will always put on entertaining fights.
Javier Torres (10-3)32yrs Syndicate MMA,Former Xtreme Kombat 185 CHAMP.
On a 4 fight win streak he has shown a rounded all around game though not elite at anything he can hold his own everywhere.A grinder with a chip on his shoulder I think he will have problems with the top ranked guys but could find success in the lower and mid tier levels and you never know right?
Will Fleury (4-0) 29yrs SBG Ireland
On a 11 fight win streak including 7 amateur and 4 pro fights.Out of that streak 10 were finish via 6subs/4kos displaying solid Bjj skills and powerful boxing.Could be a great fighter I could see him being ranked but will need to work hard to get there.
Mike Shipmann (11-1) 26yrs London Shoot Fighters Former BAMMA 185 CHAMP
Undefeated since losing his pro debut he is riding an 11 fight win streak and all 11 by finish via 7kos/4subs.He has great standup and a great grappling game and is still evolving ever fight making his future bright.High ceiling will be fun watching him climb the ranks.
205 LIGHT HEAVY DIVISION
Rafael Cavalcante (13-7) 37yrs Team Nogueira
After his UFC release he rededicates himself to training and won a contract with Bellator at World Fight Tour Road To Bellator via 1st round tko by punches. At this point in his career he us a gate keeper at best but he always finishes or gets finished making for fan friendly fights.Wont be champ or top ranked but will put on good fights for the fans.
265 HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION
Mirko Crocop (36-11-2) 43yrs Crocop Squad/Tiger Gym
8 fight win streak including a redemption win over Gonzaga, satoshi Ishii 2×,and winning the Rizin World GP.Crocop has had a resurgence in Japan and looks to atleast be in better health then his UFC run.His standup and takedown defense make him still one dangerous guy at HW and his legend amongst fans will be great for Bellator.he won't be in Bellator long but I guarantee his fights will be excellent.
Jake Hager (0-0) National Collegiate Wrestler
Huge unknown on his actual fighting skills though his legit wrestling background will definitely help him it' his sheer strength that's impressive. He is agile for a big guy I don't see him becoming champ but I'm definitely intrigued.
Frank Mir (18-11) 38yrs Jackson Wink,Former UFC HW Champ.
A legend of the sport Mir has a decent standup game with no power and a famed bjj ground ame that keeps him still relevant at hw.He could become champion and will be a serious threat to most if not all hws in Bellator.
Kirill Sidelnikov (11-5) 29yrs TEAM FEDOR,World Sambo champion,1st razryad in Sambo.
He was on a 5 fight win streak until losing to top HW prospect Sergey Pavlovich in a Fight Nights Global HW title bout.In his early career he failed to live up to hype and popped for PEDs....since then he has honed his skills with Team Fedor and become a much better fighter all around. He could be a top contender if he stays hungry after his last loss.
Ok that's it guys.......
Whose your favorites and how far do you think they each will go in their divisions?
